My real estate career spans more than 25 years, and I've learned valuable skills along the way that help me work in my clients' best interests, whether the current market climate is hot, cold, or lukewarm.
Currently I'm a nine-time qualifier for the New Jersey Association of Realtors Circle of Excellence award. Year after year, I make it my business to be one of the most productive agents in Sussex County.
How did it all start? During the first five years of my "first" sales career in the early 70's, I participated in the marketing of more than 100 properties in and around Verona, NJ. I also became manager, then president, of the Mary Gerberg Agency, Inc., in Verona while continuing my sales career and becoming one of the first real estate agents in New Jersey to achieve both the GRI and CRS designations.
After selling my business and relocating to Cincinnati,OHIO, to become general manager of Theo. Mayer & Bros., Realtors, I was recruited in 1982 from the real estate business to hire and train sales people for a national service firm...but I left my heart in real estate.
So in 1986 I returned to the business--and New Jersey--and became first regional manager, then general manager, for Degnan Boyle Realtors, one of the state's leading independent firms, based in West Orange. Senior management responsibilities gave me a different perspective on the business, and I began to share my experiences in a series of articles I wrote for national publications. Since 1988 I've published 16 articles on sales and management in leading real estate magazines.
In mid-1992 I decided to take my management experience back to the field and resume my sales career. Since then I've helped hundreds of families/individuals with their residential real estate decisions.
And I've shared my experiences and my commitment to excellence by being an instructor for the New Jersey GRI Program since 1990...an important part of keeping my finger on the pulse of the business.
In a nutshell, that's why I'm dedicated to providing buyers and sellers with a great real estate experience. |
